is comfort, connection, compassion and community.
Assisted Living Residences (ALR) offer help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and additional services, such as meal preparation, laundry, housekeeping, and facilitation of medications. Total assistance with bathing and dressing may be given and activities are individually developed to complement each person’s physical and cognitive abilities.
Memory care in an ALR is also referred to as a Special Needs Assisted Living Residence (SNALR) and is best suited for those who have moderate functional impairment but who can still engage in tasks such as feeding themselves and walking independently, with or without a walker or cane. Some ALRs offerenhanced services which allow residents to age in place and avoid having to be moved to a higher level of care, such as a nursing home. This is known as an Enhanced Assisted Living Residence (EALR). Bristol Village offers certian enhanced services.
