Assisted Living
What is Assisted Living? Assisted living bridges the gap between independent living and nursing homes. It’s perfect for those who have some trouble living alone but do not necessarily require constant care.
Assisted living allows you to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible. Residences like The Bristol Home and Bristol Village offer help with daily living activities, such as bathing and dressing, and assistance with medications. Assisted living is not an alternative to a nursing home, but a level of long-term care, which suits many seniors.
How are Expenses Managed? Assisted Living Residences vary widely in cost depending on room or apartment size, services offered, and several other factors. Unlike a nursing home, Medicare and Medicaid do not pay for services. However assisted living may be covered by some long term insurance plans. Many residences accept only private pay, however, some do accept a state and federal subsidy called Supplemental Security Income — SSI.
We proudly offer Assisted Living services at both the Bristol Home and Bristol Village.
